Bengaluru: In a bid to stop private hospitals from fleecing Covid patients, the state government has fixed the rates for treatment and other services.
As per the current guidelines in Karnataka, there is strict regulation to covid treatment at private hospitals. Earlier, patients were free to approach private hospitals for Covid-19 treatment.
But according to new regulations, a Covid patient is required to obtain a referral from a government hospital, should he or she wants to move to a private hospital.
If beds in the government hospitals are fully occupied, the authorities will refer the patient to a private hospital.
