JEE Advanced 2021 date, IIT admission process to be announced on Jan 7

JEE Advanced is one of the important entrance exam conducted for engineering and admissions in 23 IITs of the country. In order to take the JEE Advanced exam, the candidates have to fulfill all the eligibility criteria as mandated by the Joint Admission Board. Also, students who have passed 12th standard or equivalent can take the JEE Advanced exam, however, for this, they have to qualify for the JEE Main Exam.

New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will on January 7 announce the eligibility criteria for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the date of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced.

Tweeting about the same, the minister said, "My dear students, I will announce the eligibility criteria for admission in IITs & the date of JEE Advanced on 7th Jan at 6 PM."

JEE Advanced is one of the important entrance exam conducted for engineering and admissions in 23 IITs of the country.

In order to take the JEE Advanced exam, the candidates have to fulfill all the eligibility criteria as mandated by the Joint Admission Board. Also, students who have passed 12th standard or equivalent can take the JEE Advanced exam, however, for this, they have to qualify for the JEE Main Exam.

Any examination of JEE Advanced can be given twice in two consecutive years. The candidates who pass the examination are given admission in IIT through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counseling based on their rank.
