Bengaluru: IT officials raided the residences of contractors, businessmen, chartered accountants and aide of former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa here on Thursday. A team of 300 officers is conducting raids on more than 50 places in the city simultaneously. The raids were started early in the morning. They seized Innova Crysta cars and the raids are being conducted on the charges of tax fraud.

Interestingly, IT officers also conducted raids on the residence of BJP senior leader and former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa's close aide Umesh. They conducted raids on more than six places belonging to Umesh, including his residence at Rajajinagar Bashyam Circle, his office and the houses of his relatives. They seized documents related to tax fraud.
