New Delhi: India reported 43,071 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Sunday, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry. The overall tally of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 3,05,45,433. The COVID-19 death toll rose to 4,02,005 with 955 fresh fatalities. The country has 4,85,350 active cases presently.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 52,299 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to till date 2,96,58,078. The Health Ministry said that a total of 35,12,21,306 people have been vaccinated so far in the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
A total of 63,87,849 vaccine doses were administered in the last 27 hours, as per the Health Ministry's 7 am provisional report on Sunday
