Hyderabad: A single-day rise of 25,467 COVID-19 infections, 354 fatalities push India's tally of cases to 3,24,74,773 and death toll to 4,35,110, as per the Union Health Ministry. The number of active cases declined to 3,19,551, according to the data updated at 8am on Tuesday. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease has surged to 3,17,20,112.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 50,93,91,792 samples have been tested up to August 23 for COVID-19. Of these, 16,47,526 samples were tested on Monday. So far, 58.89 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive.
