At 30,093, India sees lowest daily COVID-19 cases in 125 days

India recorded 30,093 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest in 125 days, taking the total tally of cases to 3,11,74,322, according to the Union Health Ministry data.

Hyderabad: India reported 30,093 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Tuesday. The death toll climbed to 4,14,482 with 374 daily fatalities. The active cases have declined to 4,06,130. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,03,53,710.

The Ministry said that 41.18 crore people have been vaccinated so far in the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 44,73,41,133 samples have been tested up to July 19. Of which, 17,92,336 samples were tested on Monday.
