1. West Bengal phase IV assembly elections: Battle of heavyweights in Tollygunge

The polling for the fourth phase of the West Bengal assembly elections will commence on Saturday morning, with high-profile leaders and celebrities dominating the political field. The political temperature has upped several notches after TMC supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been served two notices by the Election Commission of India for violating the model code of conduct.

2. Maharashtra CM to hold all-party meet on Saturday to discuss COVID-19

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will hold an all-party meeting today to discuss the COVID-19 situation in the state. The state, which has been the major contributor of COVID-19 cases in the past few days, reported over 55,000 new infections in the last 24 hours.

3. Rajasthan imposes night curfew in 9 cities from today

To prevent the surge in COVID-19 cases, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has imposed a night curfew in nine cities of Rajasthan with effect from Saturday till April 30. As per an order by the Rajasthan government, it said, "Night curfew imposed in 9 cities-Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Abu Road starting from 8 pm to 6 am, till April 30."

4. NITI Aayog to launch Online Dispute Resolution handbook on Saturday

NITI Aayog will launch the first-of-its-kind Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) handbook in India on Saturday. The handbook is an invitation to business leaders to adopt ODR in India. It highlights the need for such a mechanism, the models of ODR that businesses can adopt and an actionable pathway for them.

5. Chennai Super Kings to battle with Delhi Capitals

Saturday night will see a clash between the master and the apprentice.
