1. PM Modi to chair meeting to commemorate 400th Birth Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting of the High-Level Committee (HLC) to commemorate the 400th Birth Anniversary (Prakash Purab) of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur on Thursday. The meeting will be held through video conferencing.
2. PM Modi to meet CMs to discuss covid surge
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take stock of the covid situation at a meeting with chief ministers of all states on 8 April, with the second wave of the pandemic raging in the country. He will also address vaccination-related issues at the meeting, which will be held via videoconferencing at 6.30 pm.

4. SC to hear Deshmukh plea against Bombay HC's CBI probe order
The Supreme Court on Thursday will hear the petition filed by former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, challenging the Bombay High Court order directing for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s preliminary probe against him. Deshmukh had filed the Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the apex court, challenging April 5 Bombay High Court's order.
5. SC to hear plea seeking release, protection of Rohingya refugees in J-K today
The Supreme Court will pass its order on a petition seeking release and protection of over 150 Rohingya refugees in Jammu and Kashmir. A bench headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde will pronounce the order on the intervention application filed by Mohammad Salimullah, a Rohingya refugee, through advocate Prashant Bhushan.
6. India, Seychelles to inaugurate Magistrates' Court building, naval ship, solar power plant today
India and Seychelles will hold a high-level virtual meet on Thursday and the virtual event will be the first interaction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with President Wavel Ramkalawan. President Wavel Ramkalawan came to power after a landmark victory in October 2020 elections in Seychelles. His party Linyon Democratic Seselwa has a two-thirds majority in the Seychelles national assembly.
