New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday took a jibe against the BJP over the string of CCTV footage leakages of Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain's Tihar Jail cell.
In a sharp retort, Kejriwal said that the BJP has guaranteed the people of the national capital that they will be opening video shops in every ward if they win the upcoming Delhi Municipal Corporation elections. This came hours after another CCTV video from the jail cell of Satyendar Jain at Tihar Jail emerged, taking social media by storm.
The video released this time shows housekeeping services being provided in Jain's cell. This is the fourth such video leaked from his jail cell showing the Delhi Minister being provided special treatment while in custody. The purported footage that emerged according to the sources on Sunday morning was dated September 13, 15, and October 1.
The visuals show men sweeping the floor of the jail cell and also arranging the Minister's bed. In the visuals dated September 12, Jain was seen interacting with other people inside his jail cell.
Hitting back at the BJP, Kejriwal said that the saffron party is a "video-producing company". "In this election, the public will give them (the BJP) the task of making videos, and those who build schools and hospitals will be given the task of running the government," the AAP chief wrote on Twitter.

While the first video footage showed Jain getting a foot massage from an alleged rape accused, the second one depicted that the Minister was getting access to food ordered from outside. The second video surfaced a day after Jain's legal team said that the minister has lost 28 kg of weight during his stay at Tihar.
The third video, the latest one, that surfaced this Saturday, showed him meeting the superintendent of the Tihar jail inside his prison cell at 8 pm. The BJP has used these CCTV footages to its full advantage, triggering a political storm against the ruling AAP government that is already facing the heat in the Excise Policy case.
"Not sure why Manish Sisodia is scared of going to jail in the Liquor Excise scam. Look at Satyendra Jain, AAP’s jailed minister, who had housekeeping, in-room dining, massage, and spa facilities in Tihar. Kejriwal must assure Sisodia, that like Jain, he too will be looked after," BJP's Amit Malviya tweeted Sunday morning, in a sharp retort to Kejriwal.
Moreover, on Saturday, a Delhi court said that Jain was prime facie being given "preferential treatment" inside Tihar jail in violation of rules, which has now been stopped. The court made the observation while dismissing Jain's plea seeking direction for Tihar officials to provide him with special food items according to his religious beliefs.
