BJP sweeps Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation polls

BJP romped home in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation polls. The saffron party wiped out the Congress and AAP as they relegated one digit. The party leaders and workers are celebrating the victory by bursting crackers.

Gujarat: BJP has registered a massive victory in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections on Tuesday. Out of 44 seats, BJP won 38, Congress one, AAP one till 1 pm. A total of 161 candidates contested in the poll, with the BJP and Congress contesting from 44 seats and the AAP from 40. The polling was conducted on October 3. Over 56.24 percentage was recorded. The BJP leaders and workers are on cloud nine and celebrating the victory of the party by bursting crackers.
