Udupi village goes golden way to celebrate Ganesha festival

People of Alevoor installs a gold-plated Ganesha idol spending Rs 10 lakhs

Udupi: Alevoor village in Udupi district is well-known for celebrating Ganesha festival with pomp and grandeur every year.

However, this time Ganesh Utsav Committee of Alevoor wanted to celebrate it differently. They decided to go for a gold-plated Ganesha.

They made it happen through the donations of the villagers, who contributed Rs10 lakhs.

Now, Alevoor has become the centre of attraction after the gold-plated Ganesha idol was installed in the festival committee's hall.
