Former Union Minister Buta Singh passes away

The 86-years-old, four-time Lok Sabha MP from Sirohi, Singh was responsible for many developmental works in Jalore-Sirohi. Following Singh's win from Jalore, a lot of connecting roads were laid in the area. Not only that, construction of bus stops, setting up of an industrial unit that provided employment to the local people was done during Buta's time as MP.

Jalore: Former Home Minister and MP from Sirohi parliamentary constituency Buta Singh passed away. He was 86-years-old.

A wave of mourning spread among Singh's supporters as soon as the news of his death spread in Sirohi.

A four-time Lok Sabha MP from Sirohi, Singh was responsible for many developmental works in Jalore-Sirohi.

Following Singh's win from Jalore, a lot of connecting roads were laid in the area. Not only that, construction of bus stops, setting up of an industrial unit that provided employment to the local people was done during Buta's time as MP.

Along with this, the recruitment of youths in the police forces of Delhi Police, CRPF, BSF, etc. was held at Jalore and Sirohi district headquarters providing jobs to hundreds of unemployed youth.

Many other development works are credited to Buta Singh, including the establishment of the towers of BSNL Mobile connecting the two districts with the first mobile network.

The work of connecting Jalore district by train was also done during Buta Singh's tenure.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed condolences on the veteran Congress member's death and said he was an experienced administrator and effective voice for the welfare of the poor as well as the downtrodden.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also remembered the leader saying, the country has lost a true public servant and a loyal leader with the death of Sardar Buta Singh Ji.
