All toll plazas will remain free in Haryana, says farmer leader

Vikas Sisar, Haryana farmer leader, said that all toll plazas will remain free in Haryana.

"All the petrol pumps and malls, except private will be shut. Leaders of BJP & Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) will face protests in the state & this will continue till their govt of alliance breaks," he said.

Farmers to hold march at Kundli-Manesar-Palwal if demands not accepted: Yogendra Yadav

Swaraj India leader Yogendra Yadav said the next round of talks with govt will be held on January 4 and if their demands are not accepted, they will hold a march at Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) on January 6.

He further said, "We will announce a date about when & move forward from Shahjahanpur border."

"The claims that 50 per cent of issues have been resolved are false. Our two main demands — three farm bills should be scrapped and legal guarantee on Minimum Support Price (MSP) are still pending," he added.

Farmer dies at Singhu border due to cold

Another farmer protesting against the Centre’s new farm laws at the Singhu border reportedly passed away on Friday, allegedly due to the biting cold weather.

The deceased has been identified as Galtan Singh who was a resident of Bhaavanpur village in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district.

Zealous New Year celebrations at Singhu border

Singhu border: The entire country is celebrating New Year 2021 with full zeal. Farmers protesting at the Singhu border against the farm laws also welcomed the New Year by lighting candles. Fireworks were also seen at the border. Farmers sang melodious songs to cherish each other’s morale.

The protest of farmers on Singhu border against agricultural laws continues for the 37th day today. Sukhwinder Singh Sabhra of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee said, "Three agricultural laws should be repealed. If no solution is found on January 4, the struggle will intensify in the days to come."
