New Delhi: Bihar BJP MP and senior leader Janardan Singh Sigriwal from on Friday said that every Indian citizen can rightfully protest but it should be done within the limits. Everyone knows how the tractor rally unfolded on January 26 and it was a shameful moment for the nation, he added.
Demanding an investigation into the events of Republic day, Sigriwal said it should be ascertained whether the agitators were farmers or other outsiders. He also asked the opposition why they were silent on the matter.
Further commenting on the international attention that the farmers' agitation has received, Sigriwal said foreign celebrities including Rihanna, Greta Thunberg have supported the protests, but these people do not know anything about agriculture. These people feel that if they do tweet, then India will become infamous, but nothing like this is going to happen. People of the country are standing with PM Modi.

Most of the country's farmers are also with the central government and I want to tell the protesting farmers to end their agitation. The central government is ready to negotiate and find a way out. Agricultural laws are in the interest of farmers. Hopefully, the farmers' movement will end soon.
Since November, farmers are protesting against the agricultural laws on the border of Delhi and different states demanding the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws and a guarantee on MSP.
The government had proposed to postpone all three agricultural laws for 18 months, which the farmers rejected.
