Fake army jawan arrested near Indian Military Academy

From the army training centre in Delhi to the Army area of ​​Joshimath in Uttarakhand, this young man had been misleading everyone for a long time by calling himself a military policeman. He was roaming around near the Indian Military Academy in Premnagar area of Dehradun when he was arrested.

Dehradun: Premnagar police have arrested a man walking around in the state capital posing as a military jawan near the Indian Military Academy (IMA) late Tuesday night. The man was arrested in a joint operation by army intelligence and the police. The accused also made reels for social media, which are very viral.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that this young man was misleading everyone from army training centre in Delhi to Army area of Joshimath in Uttarakhand for a long time by calling himself a military policeman. It is learnt that he was also roaming around IMA at Premnagar in Dehradun posing as an army jawan. The army intelligence and the police in a joint operation have cordoned off Premnagar near IMA and arrested the accused. Police are now interrogating him.

Items like canteen cards and army uniforms have been recovered from the fake jawan. According to the police, the arrested person is a resident of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. Given this, the police and army intelligence are trying to find out why was he moving around Uttarakhand posing as an army jawan.

This self-proclaimed army man also made videos on social media wearing army uniforms, which are also very viral. In the video, this person is seen talking and describing himself as an army jawan.

It may be mentioned that this is not the first time that a fake army jawan has been arrested by the police in this state which has a strongly military presence. Prior to this too, the police have arrested such people and sent them to jail. However, cases like this around the IMA are viewed as “sensitive”. This is the reason why the police and army intelligence have been constantly keeping an eye on such people.
