India reported 34,703 new cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest in 111 days, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Tuesday. The COVID-19 death toll rose to 4,03,281 with 553 fresh fatalities.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday said that academic session 2021-22 of class 10th and 12th will be divided into two terms with approximately 50 per cent syllabus in each term and exams will be conducted at the end of each term on the basis of the bifurcated syllabus.

Following a rocket attack on a base accommodating US soldiers in Iraq's west, US forces shot down an armed drone hovering over its embassy in Baghdad on Monday night, international media reported.
