Shahid Tak/ Shopian: Three militants of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) - The Resistance Front (TRF) have been neutralised in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian on Tuesday. The gunfire had initially begun at Tulran in the Imamsahab village area of the district on Monday after joint forces received inputs about the presence of militants.
As the security forces zeroed in on the spot where militants were hiding they came under a heavy volume of fire that triggered the encounter. The operation ended on Tuesday morning with the killing of three Militants.

Security forces claimed that it was a great achievement as the three militants were involved in various criminal activities.
"Out of 3 killed militants, one militant has been identified as Mukhtar Shah of Ganderbal, who shifted to Shopian after killing one street hawker Virendra Paswan of Bihar recently in Srinagar," the J&K Police said, adding that incriminating arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
