Ranchi: Notorious human trafficker Ram Lakhan Ohdar alias Ram Lakhan Sahu has been arrested by Delhi Police with the help of Ranchi Police in Chutia police station area of Jharkhand's capital. A team of Delhi Police, including an inspector, a sub-inspector and an assistant sub-inspector had reached Ranchi late Wednesday night.
There are many cases registered against Ram Lakhan in Delhi too. On receiving information that he was in Ranchi, the Delhi Police team came and arrested him.
According to information received, the human trafficker is a resident of Kamdara in Gumla district. Ram Lakhan has his own luxurious house in Chutia and runs a girls' hostel there. The police reached the spot and laid siege to his house before arresting him.

Ram Lakhan used to lure innocent girls from rural areas of Jharkhand and sell them in big cities. According to information received, Ram Lakhan is also involved in other crimes like prostitution and from this he has built a luxurious three-storey house.
Ram Lakhan has also built a mall in Ranchi. Two years back also, Simdega police had arrested Ram Lakhan Sahu from Chutiya. To avoid arrest at that time, he tried to escape by jumping from the first floor of the house, but the police chased and caught him. After leaving jail, Ram Lakhan once again became active in the business of human trafficking.
On Thursday, the Delhi Police team produced Ram Lakhan in the court. The team will take the accused with them on transit remand. According to information received, there are many offices of Ram Lakhan in Delhi which were running in the name of placement agencies.
