New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Thursday has taken a suo-moto cognizance on issues relating to safety and security in courts in wake of the Rohini firing incident. In this regard, a notice has been sent to the Delhi Police Commissioner and the matter will be taken up for hearing today.
On September 24, notorious criminal gangster Jitender Mann 'Gogi' and two other criminals were killed in a shootout at Room number 207 of Rohini court in northwest Delhi. The incident took place in the court of Additional Sessions, Judge Gagandeep Singh. Two men disguised as lawyers opened fire on gangster Jitendra Gogi. In retaliatory police firing, both the attackers were also killed.
