Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh shot back at his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar, after the latter accused him of inciting the farmers.

"Shocked at your response @mlkhattar ji. It's the farmers who've to be convinced on MSP, not me. You should've tried to talk to them before their #DilliChalo. And if you think I'm inciting farmers then why are Haryana farmers also marching to Delhi?" Singh tweeted.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched a direct attack against his Punjab counterpart Amarinder Singh, accusing him of inciting innocent farmers.

"@capt_amarinder ji, I've said it earlier and I'm saying it again, I'll leave politics if there'll be any trouble on the MSP - therefore, please stop inciting innocent farmers," Khattar said in a tweet.

"I've been trying to reach out to you for the last 3 days but sadly you decided to stay unreachable - is this how serious you are for farmer's issues? You're only tweeting and running away from talks, Why?" the Haryana CM tweeted.

New Delhi: The Delhi police have tightened security at Delhi-Haryana border near Faridabad and Singhu village in view of the farmers' "Delhi Chalo" protest march from November 26 to November 28.

Police personnel from at least two police stations and three battalions of the Central Reserve Police Force have been deployed at the Delhi-Faridabad border.

"We are checking every vehicle passing from here. Home Guard jawans are here. Senior officers are making rounds. We are prepared to deal with any situation," said Prithviraj Meena, Sub-Inspector, Delhi Police.

"So far, no farmers have come here. We will try to negotiate with farmers if they come here," he added.

Barricades have been erected at five places along the Delhi-Faridabad border.

Meanwhile, the national capital's lifeline, Delhi Metro, will also remain cut off from the National Capital Region (NCR) on Thursday till 2 pm. The trains towards Delhi will be stopped two-three stations before the state borders due to the Kisan rally.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said in a tweet on Wednesday that move will be implemented in view of the rally and to avoid overcrowding.

Haryana police used water cannons on farmers protesting against the farm bills at Shambhu border, near Ambala. Security has been tightened at the Delhi-Haryana border near Faridabad and Singhu village in view of the protest march. Faridabad Police say, "We've clear instructions to not let any members of Bharatiya Kisan Union enter Delhi today and tomorrow. Police teams deployed at all important entry points."  The Delhi Police also strengthened its presence in border areas of the national capital in view of the 'Delhi chalo' protest march by farmers against the Centre's new farm laws. At the border, the Delhi Police stationed trucks filled with sand to stop the movement of tractors driven by farmers, police said.

Barricades were erected at Haryana-Punjab border as farmers with their tractor-trailers gathered there for the "Delhi Chalo" march to mark protest against the recently enacted farm laws. Delhi Metro services restricted till 2 pm

Delhi Metro services to and from the National Capital Region (NCR) will be restricted till 2 pm on Thursday, in view of the farmers' rally. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in a tweet on Wednesday, said in a tweet on Wednesday that the restrictions will be placed in view of the rally and to avoid overcrowding. No services will be available between Sultanpur and Guru Dronacharya on Yellow Line (which connects Delhi to Gurugram), as trains will run on a loop from Samaypur Badli to Sultanpur and Guru Dronacharya to HUDA City Centre sections.

New Delhi: The Delhi police have tightened security at Delhi-Haryana border near Faridabad and Singhu village in view of the farmers' "Delhi Chalo" protest march from November 26 to November 28.

Police personnel from at least two police stations and three battalions of the Central Reserve Police Force have been deployed at the Delhi-Faridabad border.

"We are checking every vehicle passing from here. Home Guard jawans are here. Senior officers are making rounds. We are prepared to deal with any situation," said Prithviraj Meena, Sub-Inspector, Delhi Police.

"So far, no farmers have come here. We will try to negotiate with farmers if they come here," he added.

Barricades have been erected at five places along the Delhi-Faridabad border.

Meanwhile, the national capital's lifeline, Delhi Metro, will also remain cut off from the National Capital Region (NCR) on Thursday till 2 pm. The trains towards Delhi will be stopped two-three stations before the state borders due to the Kisan rally.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said in a tweet on Wednesday that move will be implemented in view of the rally and to avoid overcrowding.
