New Delhi: Two men were arrested for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman in a moving car in Shastri Park area of Delhi. On the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered and an investigation is on, says police. According to the victim, the men had lured her on the pretext of providing her with a job and asked her to accompany them in the car, following which they resorted to the heinous act.
When the woman tried to resist their attempts, she was allegedly beaten and brutally assaulted. The victim added that the men even threatened to kill her. However, the woman having mustered courage approached the Shastri Park police station in North-East Delhi and filed a complaint. It was then that the police swung into action and based on the details provided by the woman had nabbed both the accused.
A case under relevant sections including gang rape and threat to death have been registered against both the men.

According to police, the victim used to live with her husband in Ghaziabad area of NCR. A few days back, she got a call from an unknown number about a job opportunity. The caller identified himself as one Rohit and told the woman that if she was looking for a job, he could help arrange for it. Later, on August 16, Rohit along with another person picked her up in a car from Ghaziabad, wherein the duo had gangraped the woman in the moving car.
