New Delhi: India reported 43,393 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Friday. The overall tally of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 3,07,52,950. The COVID-19 death toll rose to 4,05,939 with 911 fresh fatalities. The country's active cases have further declined to 4,58,727.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 44,459 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to 2,98,88,284 till date. The Health Ministry said that a total of 36,89,91,222 people have been vaccinated so far in the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
