Ferozepur (Punjab): Border Security Force (BSF) personnel late on Wednesday night stopped three Pakistani drug smugglers from entering the country. The BSF forces opened fire at the smugglers after noticing suspicious activity along the border.
In the incident, one of the smugglers was hit on the left thigh, while the other two managed to return to the Pakistani side. The BSF personnel also recovered two drug packets from the smuggler.
According to the information received, the Pakistani drug smugglers were trying to enter the Indian territory through the BOP Satpal post. The injured was arrested and handed over to the Punjab Police in critical condition and is currently undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital in Ferozepur.

Charanjit Singh Randhawa, SHO Ferozepur PS, said that the arrested drug smuggler has been identified as Arshad, a resident of Patto Kala district in Pakistan's Kasur city. The matter is being investigated closely, the police officer added.
