Ranchi: Following an order issued by the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Secretariat allotting a room in the new Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha for offering namaz, a Twitter war has started with BJP MLAs targeting the Hemant Soren government.
BJP leader Babulal Marandi tweeted that temple of democracy should remain as the temple of democracy.
“Allotment of a separate room for namaz in Jharkhand Assembly is wrong. We are against this decision,” he said.

On the other hand, BJP MLA and former Assembly Speaker CP Singh tweeted that he was not against the prayer room but a a temple should also be built in the Jharkhand Assembly complex.
“I even demand that Hanuman temple should be established there. If the speaker approves, then we can build the temple at our own expense,” Singh said.
BJP MLA from Rajmahal assembly seat Anant Ojha has also targeted the government in a series of tweets. He described the decision as the height of appeasement. He requested the Assembly Speaker to allot rooms for “our adorable deities” on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
In a separate tweet, Ojha said that since Tuesday is regarded as the day of Bajrangbali, a room should be allotted in the Vidhan Sabha for the chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa. In yet another tweet, he said that Monday, being observed as the day of Lord Shiva, a room should be allotted to recite the Shivastrotam.
