Jaipur: BJP MLA from Rajasthan Madan Dilawar on Monday said that his video on protesting farmers' was presented in a distorted manner, adding that few people are not concerned about farmers' welfare and are indulged in political vendetta. After facing severe backlash from the opposition parties, BJP leader today in a self-made vid issued a clarification saying that the 'alleged' farmers are trying to mislead the farmers on the farm laws.
Dilawar triggered a controversy on Sunday by stating that the protesting farmers are 'conspiring to spread bird flu by consuming chicken at the protest sites.' The Member of Legislative Assembly had alleged that the "so-called farmers are not worried about the country, enjoying picnic and luxuries besides relishing delicacies."
"Backing the three farm laws, the leader said that the new agri-sector laws will benefit the farmers. Farmers can sell their agricultural produce in the open markets and no mandi tax will be imposed. More traders in the market and contract farming will be in the interest of the farmers. But people who are masqueraded as farmers are upset with these laws. One can watch my video to cross-check that I had mentioned 'alleged farmers'," he said in his new video.
Two days back, the leader had said, "Some so-called farmers are agitating. These so-called farmers are not participating in any movement but enjoying chicken biryani and dry fruits for leisure. It is a conspiracy to spread bird flu."

There may be militants, robbers, and thieves among them and they may also be enemies of farmers and all these people want to ruin the country, BJP MLA had alleged.
If the government does not remove them from the agitation sites, then bird flu can become a big problem in the country, Dilawar had said.
Farmers have been protesting at different borders of the national capital since November 26 against the three newly enacted farm laws - Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
