New Delhi: As India battles a massive spike in coronavirus cases, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shiv Pratap Shukla alleged that the COVID situation has become so grim because state governments failed to tackle the menace.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Shukla said that the state governments did not prepare well to tackle the pandemic in spite of regular assistance provided by the central government.
"Be it Maharashtra or Chhattisgarh, the respective state governments did not make timely preparations which has made the situation so much worse and due to this common people are bearing the brunt," he alleged.
Meanwhile, he also said that the situation is worsening in Uttar Pradesh but the Yogi-Adityanath led government making all efforts to tackle the menace so the people of the state do not suffer much.
