Wife burnt alive after car in which couple were travelling catches fire

A woman was burnt alive while her husband suffered burn injuries after the couple's car caught fire while travelling to Maharashtra.

Belgaum: A woman was burnt alive after a car in which she was travelling with her husband caught fire. The incident took place near Amboli Falls in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra (Amboli police station limit).

Yesterday evening, Dundappa and his wife were travelling to Maharashtra from Belgaum when their car caught fire. Dundappa jumped out of the car but his wife, who was wearing a seat belt, could not get off of the car, and was burnt alive.

Dundappa who had burn injuries as well, laid on the road for quite some time without any help.

Later Dundappa was admitted in the Sawantwadi district hospital.
