New Delhi: Attacking the Centre over Chinese aggression at Ladakh, the Congress on Monday asked when will Prime Minister Narendra Modi show his "red eyes" to China.
"The sovereignty of India is being attacked, on every other day, the news of Chinese brazen transgressions are coming out. The territory of India is being encroached upon these days, our land is being occupied, but where is Modi Government?" questioned Congress Chief Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala in a video.
Earlier today, a statement was released by the Indian Army stating that in a fresh incident at Eastern Ladakh, the Chinese PLA carried out "provocative military movements" to "unilaterally" change the status quo on the southern bank of Pangong Tso Lake, but the attack was thwarted by Indian troops.
Calling the statement "astonishing in itself", Surjewala further added, "First the Gallantry of 20 Indian soldiers in Galwan Valley; Chinese occupation of Gogra Springs, Finger 4 to Finger 8, Pangong Tso Lake, Depsang Plain and now it may not remain confined to Ladakh. The Chinese mobilization across Uttarakhand's Lipulekh area and Doklam's Doka La and Naku La pass are a direct threat for India."

The Congress leader also slammed the Central Government for not revealing the actual situation at the border, saying, "The forces of the country are standing fearlessly to protect our country. But where is Prime Minister Narendra Modi? When will he show his red eyes to China? When will he give a scathing reply to China? When will he take back our territory from China?"
Congress demanded that Prime Minister and Defense Minister should come forward and apprise the citizens of the entire situation, and also answer as to when will the Indian territory be freed from Chinese presence. "This would be true patriotism," said Surjewala.
