Venkaiah Naidu gets thermal-scanned as he enters Parliament

New Delhi: Amid coronavirus scare, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu led an example and got himself thermal-scanned when he entered Parliament complex, sources said.

The Rajya Sabha Secretariat has stepped up measures against the spread of coronavirus. As Naidu entered Parliament complex through gate no 11, he was scanned for temperature by a security person using contactless infrared thermal scanner and his body temperature was found normal, they said.

From Wednesday, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat has made scanning of all staff mandatory.

On the other hand, according to Health ministry there are over 151 positive cases of COVID-19 in India.
