Nine migrants were severely injured when the vehicle carrying them from Jhalawar to Hyderabad overturned and fell into a culvert.

Jhalawar: At least nine migrants were severely injured when the vehicle carrying them from Jhalawar to Hyderabad overturned and fell into a culvert on Wednesday morning, said a police official.

The incident occured near Gulkhedi village, Ghatoli Station-in-Charge Nainu Ram Meena said.

"The injured have been hospitalised where their condition was stated to be stable. Vehicle is damaged to a great extent," said a local, adding that a major accident has been averted.

"Migrants came to Nagaur amid lockdown and were returning to Hyderabad after they came to know that factory operations have resumed. Jayram, Ramchandra, Govind, OmPrakash and vehicle driver Pukhraj have been admitted to Jhalawar Hospital while Surendra Kumar, Rajesh, Mukesh and Dayaram have been referred to Akhlera Hospital," cop informed.

Police officials said that a case has been registered and they are investigating the matter.
