New Delhi: As the seven Congress Lok Sabha MPs got suspended, on Thursday, for the rest of the budget session for creating ruckus and indiscipline in the lower house for the fourth consecutive day, Congress party continues to demand immediate discussion on the issue of Delhi violence.

The party also alleged that the Lok Sabha speaker is under the pressure of Centre government who is aiming to weaken the opposition during the debate over Delhi violence in the Parliament session.

Congress Lok Sabha MP Manickam Tagore

While speaking to ETV Bharat, Congress Lok Sabha MP Manickam Tagore, said, "It is an unfortunate thing. It is the darkest day in Parliament. Hon' Speaker is under pressure of the ruling party. We had asked genuine questions. Delhi riots have happened with the support of Amit Shah. We're just asking him to debate over the matter in the Parliament."

The MPs including Gaurav Gogoi, TN Prathapan, Dean Kuriakose, R Unnithan, Manickam Tagore, Benny Behnan, and Gurjeet Singh Aujla, got suspended on the charges of 'gross misconduct' during the session.

While the Opposition party leader, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary claimed that the Congress MPs haven't done anything wrong. He also said that the party will remain consistent over their demand as it is their right to raise such issues in the parliament.

Congress leader PL Punia

Congress leader PL Punia said, "Usually, the decision taken by Lok Speaker is not questionable but this time it is. In this Budget session, all the political parties wanted to have a discussion over the recent Delhi violence. However, the Center is not willing to do it. Home Minister Amit Shah, who is responsible for the law and order of the country, doesn't even come to the Parliament for once. Action should be taken against the Union Home Minister."

Union Minister Prahlad Joshi also requested the Lok Sabha speaker to constitute a panel to look into the matter.

"Without any investigation, we got suspended. Therefore, Prahlad Joshi suggested that it was a fraud allegation. Prahlad Joshi is from RSS and people from there don't believe in the democratic system and they are hell-bent to disturb the parliamentary structure of India," said Manickam Tagore.
