New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shiv Pratap Shukla on Monday said that US President Donald Trump's two-day visit to India would be beneficial for both the nations.
Speaking exclusively with ETV Bharat in New Delhi, Shukla said, "It would help in cementing the bilateral relations between the two countries further."
He also highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's worldwide popularity, the bond between Modi and Trump and the Howdy-Modi event in America could be some of the reasons behind US President's on-going visit to India.
He also maintained that Trump's grand welcome in Ahmedabad, his visit to Agra and formal meetings in the national capital can be seen as a replica of Howdy-Modi event in the US.
On Monday, US President Trump had a busy schedule as he visited Ahmedabad and addressed a huge gathering as well as he made a trip to Agra and visited the Taj Mahal on the same day.
PM Modi and President Trump will hold bilateral talks on Tuesday.
