A fire broke out at the Kerala Secretariat on Tuesday evening but was brought under control by the fire and rescue department. The Opposition Congress and BJP staged a protest before the secretariat against the government after the fire broke out alleging conspiracy to destroy evidence in connection with the Gold Smuggling Case.

2. Pakistani hackers target MoS Home Kishan Reddy's website

The personal website of Minister of State (Home) G Kishan Reddy was targetted by hackers. The website was hacked on Independence Day by self-claimed Pakistani hackers. After the incident, the website is 'temporarily unavailable' and has not been made available for the public yet.

Congress leader PC Chacko on Tuesday lashed out at leaders who wrote the letter of dissent. 4. 10 get lifer for bid to supply RDX to Khalistani outfit in 2009

A local court in Barmer today awarded the life sentence to 10 persons for attempting to supply explosives and arms to a Khalistani terror outfit. The explosives were smuggled in from Pakistan but were seized by the security forces in 2009 before it could be handed over to the Khalistani outfit.
