2. Pakistani hackers target MoS Home Kishan Reddy's website

The personal website of Minister of State (Home) G Kishan Reddy was targetted by hackers. The website was hacked on Independence Day by self-claimed Pakistani hackers. After the incident, the website is 'temporarily unavailable' and has not been made available for the public yet.

3. This letter aimed to create confusion, those who don't want Rahul Gandhi to lead Congress are behind it: PC Chacko

Congress leader PC Chacko on Tuesday lashed out at leaders who wrote the letter of dissent. Interacting with ETV Bharat Reporter Niyamika Singh, he mentioned that the letter was written to create confusion over the party leadership and those "who don't want" Rahul Gandhi to take up this post are behind the move.

4. 10 get lifer for bid to supply RDX to Khalistani outfit in 2009

A local court in Barmer today awarded the life sentence to 10 persons for attempting to supply explosives and arms to a Khalistani terror outfit. The explosives were smuggled in from Pakistan but were seized by the security forces in 2009 before it could be handed over to the Khalistani outfit.

5. Parliament may start Monsoon Session on Sep 14

The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs has recommended holding the Monsoon Session of Parliament from September 14 to October 1. According to sources, there will be 18 sittings due to COVID-19 pandemic.

6. Coronavirus most prevalent among those in 5-17 age bracket: Delhi Sero survey

The second Delhi Sero survey has found out that minors aged between 5 and 17 are more vulnerable to the lethal virus. As many as 15,000 people from four age groups participated in the survey- around 25 percent of them below 18, 50 percent between 18 and 50, and the rest aged above 50.

7. Niti Aayog covered one million seniors during pandemic

To support the elderly amid the coronavirus crisis, the Niti Aayog launched 'Surakshit Dada Dadi Nana Nani' campaign in May 2020. Over 17,000 grievances have been solved including access to food, medicines and pension schemes under SDDNN scheme.

8. Probe ordered after policeman beats youth in video

A probe has been ordered after a video went viral on social media showing a police constable beating a young man with a baton in southwest Delhi as another policeman stood nearby.

9. UAE calls off meeting over F-35 deal with US

The development took place after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came out publicly to deny knowledge of arms deal between Washington and Abu Dhabi. The Gulf state realised that Netanyahu's statement violated an understanding following their historic announcement on August 13 of the normalisation of diplomatic ties.
