1. PM Modi to partake in Ekta Diwas celebrations at Kevadia, Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay homage to Sardar Patel on his 145th birth anniversary and take part in the Ekta Diwas Parade along with administering the Rashtriya Ekta Pledge at Kevadia, Gujarat on October 31, 2020. The police forces of Gujarat, Central Reserve Armed Force, Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Central Industrial Security Forces and National Security Guards will participate in the Parade, as per a release.

2. Case filed against PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti for treason

A case has been filed against the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti in the civil court of Jaunpur district accusing her of using abusive language for the restoration of Article 370 and the national flag of India. Advocate Himanshu Srivastava filed a suit in the court accusing PDP Mufti of sedition and insulting the tricolour for which the hearing will be held on November 27.

Speaking over Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Yogesh Tyagi's suspension, Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said that Delhi University has become a centre of controversies. The Delhi Education Minister further said that he has been raising issues since the last two-three years that all is not well in Delhi University and today a proof has come in this regard.

BJP national president JP Nadda on Wednesday blasted the political parties opposing the agriculture laws and said all of them were opposing the three farm laws "purely for political reasons".Delivering the first Kamal Sharma memorial address, the BJP president said all parties were beguiling the Punjab farmers after they had failed to deliver anything reformative to them.

7. Shimla: Firefighters put out fire outbreak near Tara hall

A massive fire broke out at Kapital Hotel near Tara Hall late on Wednesday night. According to reports, the incident took place at around 11.20 pm.Five fire tender units and around 40 Fire brigade officials swung into action and doused the fire. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
