Three unidentified terrorists killed in an encounter between security forces, terrorists in J-K's Anantnag. The encounter took place after security forces received input from Jammu and Kashmir Police about the presence of unidentified terrorists in Chewa Ullar village.

2. Centre cancels Bihar's mega bridge project involving Chinese firms

The tender of a mega bridge project, to be built parallel to Mahatma Gandhi Setu across the Ganga river in Patna was cancelled by the Centre given that Chinese companies were involved in it. The state government plans to give out the tender to some other agency by July 31.

8. Religious places in rural areas to open for devotees from July 1 in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government allowed the religious places in rural areas, where a limited number of devotees visit, of the state to open from July 1. However, religious places in urban areas will continue to remain closed. The government also directed to abolish the mandatory 14-day home quarantine for people coming to Rajasthan from different parts of the country.

9. Petrol, diesel prices hiked in Delhi day after no revision of rates

The price of petrol on Monday increased to Rs 80.43 (hike of Re 0.05) and that of diesel increased to Rs 80.53 (hike of Re 0.13) in Delhi, a day after there was no change in the rates in the national capital.
