The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team probing into the alleged gang-rape and murder of a Dalit woman in Hathras, will reportedly visit the victim's village on Tuesday. The CBI team is expected to visit the victim's house, and also question family members and other villagers.

BJP leader Prasad Lad along with other party workers has been detained by the police during a protest after they attempted to enter Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai on Tuesday. The stalemate overcompensating states for the shortfall in GST collections continued on Monday with a meeting of the GST Council ending without reaching any consensus on the issue. The panel, which is the highest decision-making body on indirect taxes, for the second time in a week, failed to reach a consensus on the Centre's proposal of states borrowing against future GST collections to make up for the shortfall.
