Bharatpur: A pregnant woman who should be resting and taken care of, is walking on foot, covering thousands of kilometres in the hope of reaching her home. While leaders are claiming that no migrant worker is walking on foot, such is the ground reality.

Sonendri Devi, who is 7-months-pregnant, has been walking on foot for the last ten days from Surat to Bharatpur with her family.

When asked if someone offered any help, she revealed that no one took pity on her condition and agreed to take her in any of their bus or vehicle.

This migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj reached Bharatpur border on Wednesday.

After three days of political tussle, the buses hired by the Congress to ferry migrant workers to their hometowns returned from the inter-State border at Uncha Nagla in the Bharatpur district on Wednesday with the Uttar Pradesh government refusing permission to them to enter the State.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi even said that if the UP government wants to put BJP flags and stickers on the buses, they can go ahead.
