Tejashwi attacks Nitish govt by sharing old video of PM Modi

Targetting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD leader and the party's CM candidate, Tejashwi Yadav shared an old video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi listing over 30 scams linked to the state government.

Hyderabad: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that his government was involved in over 60 scams amounting to Rs 30,000 crore.

The leader took to Twitter and shared a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi listing over 30 scams linked to the state government.

"During the rule of Nitish ji, there have been 60 big scams worth Rs 30,000 crore. The details of which were shared by PM Modi during an election rally. These were the scams calculated by Prime Minister till 2015. After that, there have been other scams worth thousands of crores including paddy scam, toilet scam, and scholarship scam," the RJD leader said in his tweet.

This comes after Prime Minister, during an election rally in Bihar's Muzaffarpur, targeted former chief minister Lalu Prasad and his family members saying that law and order was pathetic during his time in office.

"You can imagine what will happen to the funds for COVID-19 if they come to power... What else can residents of Bihar expect from the 'Yuvraj' (prince) of 'Jungle Raj', given their past record?" Prime Minister said during his Muzaffarpur rally.

Elections for 243 Assembly seats are being held in three phases. Polling for 71 seats took place on October 28. Voting for 94 seats will be held on November 3 and the remaining 78 seats on November 7. The results will be announced on November 10.

Five years ago, Nitish Kumar's JD-U fought the elections in alliance with the RJD and the Congress, whereas the NDA had Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party and Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) in its camp.

In the poll fray, the JD-U has moved to the NDA camp, the LJP is fighting its own battle and the RLSP is a part of the Grand Democratic Secular Front.
