DMK to convene meeting to discuss election campaign

To discuss the poll strategies for Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, DMK has called ‘District Secretaries' meeting on December 20. Party leaders are likely to discuss Rajinikanth's political plunge, alliance talks and COVID-19 precautionary measures.

Chennai: Dravida Munnetra Kazalgam (DMK) leadership has convened a meeting of ‘District Secretaries' at the Party Headquarters Anna Arivalayam on December 20 to discuss the election campaign activities. The meeting would be chaired by party president MK Stalin.

DMK is gearing up for State assembly elections and MK Stalin has completed two sets of virtual election campaigns under the banner of 'Tamilagathai Meetpom’ (meaning save Tamil Nadu)

The third set of video campaign began from today and will go on till 31st December, covering Ramanathapuram, Dindigal, Cuddalore, Thiruvallur and Sivagangai.

Party's youth wing secretary Udhyanithi, women's wing secretary Kanimozli, MP Tamilachi Thangapandian have started meeting people personally as the part of election campaign. It is also expected that DMK Chief Stalin will start his physical campaign from January.

“Apart from the discussion on election campaigns, discussions on Rajinikanth's political plunge and alliance talks may also happen. Party workers will be briefed about how to carry out the campaign. After this meeting, election campaign schedule of M.K.Stalin will also be released," said sources in DMK.

With COVID-19 pandemic posing a challenge in reaching out to people personally, discussions on precautionary measures will also take place.
