Supreme Court allows firecrackers between 8 and 10pm

Supreme Court of India has given permission for bursting crackers between 8 and 10 pm in Telangana State. On November 9th NGT issued guidelines on crackers usage following which the Telangana High court gave orders to ban crackers.

Hyderabad: Supreme Court made amendments in High Court orders for implementing a ban on crackers in Telangana State. On November 9th NGT issued guidelines on crackers usage. The Telangana High court gave orders to ban crackers. SC amended the orders of High Court and Justice Khan Vilcker directed HC to give orders according to NGT guidelines.

Here are the changes:

1. Sanctions implementing on purchasing of crackers based on the quality of air index.

2. Permission granted for 2 hours (8 pm to 10pm) on the usage of crackers within the Normal Air Pollution Areas.

3. Crackers are banned within the Highest Air Pollution Areas.

4. This verdict will have to be complied with for Diwali, Christmas and New Year festivities.
