New Delhi: Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba on Thursday asked States to strictly enforce lockdown measures in containment zones.
Secretary Gauba during a video conference meeting with state chief secretaries, health secretaries, district magistrates and municipal commissioners asked to monitor full quarantine of the people who are migrated from other states.
Gauba has also asked the authorities to ensure quarantine of the people coming from abroad. The meeting took place following reports that a few states have been registering major cases following arrival of migrants.
It may be mentioned here that lockdown 4.0 is going to end on Sunday.
Sources said that Gauba also took suggestions from the state government representatives on the actions required after lockdown 4.0 ends.

Cabinet Secretary Gauba hold meetings with chief secretaries, principal secretary (health) of severely hit Covid19 affected states. District magistrates and municipal commissioners of 13 severely hit Covid19 affected cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai were also present in the meeting.
Municipal commissioners of Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and New Delhi, Ahamedabad, Thane, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Howrah, Indore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chengalpattu (Tamil Nadu), and Thiruvallur (Tamil Nadu) were also a part of the meeting.
Meanwhile, as many as 195 healthworkers at AIIMS tested Covid19 positive.
Sources said that the healthworkers working in AIIMS have been affected since February 1. These include two faculty, five resident doctors, 21 nursing staff, eight technicians, 32 sanitation workers and 68 security guards. However several of the affected persons have already been cured and joined their duty.
