Sikar(Rajasthan): An army soldier's family was honoured and felicitated by his comrades at Sikar in Rajasthan after 25 years of soldier's death.
Ramniwas was a Subedar who passed away while serving the army, in 1995. Officers who were his batchmate in the army reached his village and paid their respect to his family. Lieutenant General SPS Katewa was also present on this occasion.
According to sources, Ramnivas hailed from Sigdola village in Sikar district. In 1995, he passed away while serving the nation, during his posting in Secunderabad. At that time the deceased soldiers’ body did not reach his home, and was cremated by the army and was not even given the status of a ‘ shaheed’.

A few years ago, army officers who were his batchmate started looking for the Ramniwas' family. After a lot of effort, they gathered information regarding, his home. It was very shocking for them to learn that he had passed away 25 years ago.
Thereafter, Ramniwas’s family was felicitated in the presence of Lieutenant General Satyapal Singh Kateva. "His batchmates have done a praiseworthy job, they have even extended the financial support to Ramnivas' family". Lieutenant General Kateva said.
