A complaint has arisen that some anonymous persons locked the gate of Karakkamala convent where Sister Lucy Kalappura who was locked inside in order to stop her from the Holy Mass.

Vellamunda (Kerala): A case has been registered against some anonymous persons in Vellamunda who allegedly locked the gate of Karakkamala convent where Sister Lucy was ousted from the congregation on Monday morning.

The case was lodged in the Vellamunda police by Sister Lucy where she alleged that the gate was locked to stop her from attending the Holy Mass in the morning.

Later, the police arrived and unlocked her.

Sister Luciya was locked up by some unknown people in Vellamunda, on Sunday.

Sister Lucy told to media that church has taken action against her because she had participated in the protest against Bishop Franco. The letter also asked her to leave the convent within 10 days.

The process to expel Sister from the church has evoked responses from various quarters.
