Hyderabad: Supreme Court on Thursday has directed Swami Om, a self-proclaimed godman, who made a lot of headlines during his stay in the Bigg Boss house, to pay Rs 5 lakh in 8 weeks and file a compliance report.
The fine was imposed in 2017 after he lodged a plea seeking the elevation of Justice Dipak Misra as Chief Justice of India.
Justice J S Khehar had dismissed the plea and imposed a penalty of Rs 10 lakh each on Swami Om and the co-petitioner Mukesh Jain saying, "you can not take the court lightly."
