Rowdy sheeter beheaded in Trichy, accused surrender

A rowdy sheeter was beheaded by a gang in Tamil Nadu's Trichy. The gang attacked the victim with sharp weapons and chopped off his head. The gang later went to the police station with the head and surrendered.

Trichy (Tamil Nadu): A rowdy sheeter was murdered in Trichy by a gang who chopped his head off.

The murdered man has been identified as Chandra Mohan alias Thalaivetti Chandru, and was involved in several criminal cases, including murder.

Chandru was riding on a two-wheeler today morning near Srirangam area bridge when the gang came in a car and attacked him with sharp weapons.

In the process, the assailants chopped Chandru's head off. They went to Srirangam police station with the head and surrendered. The police have taken three persons into custody.

The police visited the crime spot and recovered the body. The body has been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem. The police have launched an investigation to ascertain the motive behind the murder and whether personal enmity had led to the murder.
