VHP expresses happiness on decision, gives suggestions

Expressing happiness over PM Modi's announcement of the constitution of Ram temple trust, international working president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Alok Kumar said that the central government will decide the role of VHP in the trust. He also said that all Hindus of the country should participate in this and donate a fixed amount.

He further said that now that the trust has been formed, the names of the trustees should also be announced soon and the construction work should start immediately.

"Keeping in mind the social harmony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced that at least one member in this trust must be from the Dalit community," he added. 

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has said that the people of all communities have been involved in the struggle for the construction of the Ram temple.

Hosapete (Karnataka): Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Wednesday hailed the central government for the announcement of the trust to oversee Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya and said that a museum, research centre and university should also be built in the holy city.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a historic decision by giving 67-acre land for Ram Temple. I congratulate him and Amit Shah for the same. For the first time, we have a prime minister who is proud of being a Hindu and by raising slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram' in the parliament, he has expressed his devotion towards 'maryada-purshottam' Lord Rama," Ramdev said. 

He added, "Along with the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a world-class museum, world-class research centre, one of the world's biggest university should be made based on the Indian culture, where the whole world can come and witness the pride of Indian culture."

Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a trust for Ram temple construction, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has approved a proposal to allot five acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board in Ayodhya for construction of a mosque as directed by the Supreme court.

The proposal was approved by the state Cabinet here on Wednesday morning. The proposed land for the mosque is in Raunahi, about 20 kilometres from Ayodhya on the Lucknow-Ayodhya route.

 Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that there will be 15 trustees in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the constitution of 'Shri Ram Janambhoomi Tirath Kshetra', which would oversee the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, nearly three months after the Supreme Court ruling in the decades-old case.

"According to the order of the Supreme Court on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, today the Government of India has taken a historic decision to form a trust in the name of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, showing its commitment towards the construction of the grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya," Shah tweeted.

Shah stated that today is a day of great joy and pride for the whole country.

"There will be 15 trustees in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, of which one will always be from Dalit community. For such an unprecedented decision that strengthens social harmony, I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Shah tweeted.

According to sources, no one from BJP will be there in the trust.
