Mortal remains of martyr Mukesh Babu to reach his native village in UP on Monday

Soldier Mukesh Babu who was serving in the 1851 Light Regiment was martyred in a violent confrontation with Chinese troops in the Mango sector of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday. Mukesh Babu's mortal remains will be handed over to his family in Rampur on August 24.

Rampur: The mortal remains of Soldier Mukesh Babu, who was martyred during a violent confrontation with Chinese troops in the Mango sector of Arunachal Pradesh on August 17, will be handed over to his family in Rampur on Monday.

Soldier Mukesh Babu who was serving in the 1851 Light Regiment was posted in the Mango sector in Arunachal Pradesh after the Indo-China face-off in Galwan valley.

Four other soldiers were also martyred in the clash with Chinese troops in the Mango sector of Arunachal Pradesh on August 17.

"We got to know this in the morning over the phone but no official information has been shared in this regard till now," said Ajay Kumar, Babu's Brother.

He said that Mukesh was the only earning member of the family and he is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son Vimal.

Vimal is going to join the Indian Army next month.
