New Delhi: In a controversial statement over the housing project issue, Rajasthan BJP MP Vijay Goel on Thursday said: 'greedy builders are worse than rapists'.
Raising questions over builders robbing home buyers, Goel said that a middle-class buyer has no one to approach to when in trouble.
He went on to narrate the plight of the middle-class who are trapped by greedy builders for money and are later denied possession of their respective homes.
He demanded death sentence for the builders, who cheat buyers on the pretext of providing them with apartments.
Referring to the Amrapali incident, Goel said that everyone must be brought to book, including the ones advertising for these housing projects.
In a relief to home buyers, the court directed Noida and Greater Noida to handover a completion certificate to the flat buyers, who are already residing in various projects of the group.
