Premises of Pakistani spy agents were raided by the Rajasthan intelligence unit officials in which bank-related documents and passbooks were seized.

Jaipur (Rajasthan): A team of officials from intelligence agencies with local police on Friday raided the houses of Pakistani spy agents, Chimanlal Nayak and Vikas Tilotia, in connection with espionage charges. Acting on a tip-off, cops launched a search and cordon operation and conducted massive search cum raid on the houses of Pak spy agents in Bikaner and Ganganagar.

According to sources, bank-related documents, passbooks and other relevant paper records were seized from the residences and efforts are on to investigate the financial transactions from their respective bank accounts. The accused will be presented before the court on Friday for further remand in custody.

Earlier, the intelligence unit of Rajasthan Police had arrested Nayak and Tilotia, who were working at army establishments, for allegedly spying for Pakistan. The two suspects were allegedly sharing classified information about the Indian Army to Pakistan's intelligence agency through social media.

Chimanlal Nayak, who works on contract in Mahajan field firing range in Bikaner and Vikas Tilotia, a tradesman in a field ammunition depot in Ganganagar, were brought to Jaipur and interrogated at the Central Interrogation Centre.

Tilotia, a resident of Jhunjhunu, and some of his relatives had received the money in their bank accounts in exchange for the classified information shared with Pakistan's intelligence agency.

Both the suspects used mobile phones to pass on classified and strategic information related to the Army's activities to Pakistan. Primary information about the suspects was provided to the state intelligence by the military intelligence from Lucknow and they were nabbed in a joint operation. (With inputs from PTI)
