New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday over Chinese intrusions at the LAC, saying while Ladakhis claim that China has taken their land, the PM says otherwise and someone is "lying".
Taking it to Twitter, the Wayanad MP shared the contrast between the statements of the government with the people of Ladakh.

In his tweet, he wrote, "Ladakhis say: China took our land. PM says: Nobody took our land. Obviously, someone is lying."
He has also put up a video of different voices of Ladakh alleging that the Chinese have occupied Indian territory in Ladakh, indicating that the government is not putting up a clear message over the Ladakh standoff. Gandhi has accused the Prime Minister of "surrendering" Indian land to China and "lying" on the border standoff issue.
The statement of the leader comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a surprise visit to Ladakh and was briefed by senior officers at a forward position in Nimu amid ongoing tension with China. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane.

Earlier too, Rahul Gandhi had posed a set of questions before the Modi government to tell the country how he proposes to drive Chinese troops out of Ladakh. He had earlier asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak up and tell the truth to the country on whether China has occupied any Indian territory.
